Percussion instruments are made from resistant materials that can take all the hits that are administered, but they need to be properly maintained to be able to preserve their strength. Here are some of the most important maintenance tasks that you should perform every couple of months:

• Cleaning the instruments – wipe down each component of your drum set with a very soft, clean cloth. Include the drumheads, the shells, the stands, the pedals as well as the sticks and the brushes.
