Musical gifts might be loud, especially if the kid you give it to loves the gift and plays it all the time, but it is a great way to entertain children, to get them to like music and to discover whether your kid has any musical talent. If you buy your child drums, signing them up for drum classes is worth it. Here are some musical gift ideas to make your child happy this holiday season:
- Harmonicas – though small children are not ready for most wind instruments, they have no problem sounding the harmonica. The instrument comes with many benefits – it is small, it easy to play, it is affordable and available in almost any big store and it is sturdy, so it will probably survive the holidays;
- Wind instruments – trumpets, tubas, trombones, flutes, oboes and saxophones are great for kids over the age of 7 or 8. They are all relatively easy to play, the first decent sounds are obtained relatively quickly and they are great for developing the player’s abdomen, lungs and diaphragm;
- Keyboards – keyboards are smaller than pianos and they are also easier to accommodate in any home, but the learning curve is usually a bit steeper than in the case of the previous two types of instruments. If your child likes it, he or she can decide to pursue formal music education and they can become great piano players.
